RATH OFFERS HIGH-PURITY, HIGH TEMPERATURE, LIGHTWEIGHT INSULATING FIREBRICKS
Wilmington, DE, June 1999 - Rath Performance Fibers, Inc. is offering high-density fused alumina and fused bubble alumina firebricks for use in high-temperature furnace insulation up to 1850oC.
Available in standard U.S. Sizes and shapes, Rath firebricks have extremely low concentrations of iron and other oxides, resulting in a very high
purity. They are ideal insulating materials for manufacturing in reducing and corrosive environments.
The K-99 Series of high-density alumina firebricks is designed for high load bearing applications in hydrogen atmosphere furnace at all
temperatures, and in high temperature oxidizing atmosphere furnaces operating at more that 3100oF (1700oC).
Rath's OFL-148 Series of fused bubble alumina firebricks contains alumina hollow spheres for improved thermal conductivity and lower heat
loss. They can be used in very dry hydrogen atmospheres and corrosive environments.
The ultra high purity of the OFL-048 prevents discoloration and out-gassing in dry hydrogen atmospheres even at extremely high temperatures.
Both series of firebricks are available in 2 1/2" and 3" straight, arch, block and slab form, as well as many custom shapes and sizes.
